Hello, again! Day TWO of Red's Running! I think that is a day longer than the last blog I tried to start ;)
Yesterday consisted of 5 HOT miles, I did the first 1.8 miles by myself at about an 8:30 pace. At mile 1.8 I met running friend Paula and she joined me for 2 more at about a 10:05ish pace. I ran the last 1.2 miles by myself at a 9:10 pace to meet my husband and daughter. It was hot... Just look at this face!

Lynnleigh is currently in dance and it is the cutest thing ever to watch! We thought it was her last class until August, but then decided to let her continue until the class ends in May. She has started gymnastics recently and we think it may end up being a better fit for her, time will tell! Here is a picture of her first day at gymnastics. She was so excited! :)

After dance, the hubs took me back to my car at work and Lynnleigh decided she wanted to stay with Momma... I don't think it had anything to do with the fact that I had to go to my classroom for a moment and she knew that meant we would pass the office, where she knows the secretary, and also knows the secretary has suckers. She thought she hit the jackpot yesterday! She basically has everyone she meets wrapped around those little sucker-loving fingers ;)

I may have also benefited from her cuteness...

Post-run and dance snack of chips and dip... I have a feeling that we are out of dip now...

Daddy had to head to work, night shift is no fun for us! We spent some time playing school with our new Peppa Pig toy. I was put in time out quite a bit, as well as told to take a nap...

We also spent some time with our pups. Clyde is a coonhound that was originally a stray. He showed up at our house one day about 5 years ago and he's been with us ever since. He was a big Momma's boy before Lynnleigh came along, now he's all about his Sissy. She calls him her "buddy" and they are basically inseparable. He was checking out my band aid on my toe in this pic, or smelling my feet ;)

Tonight I am participating in a local 5K. It's on my LEAST favorite part of the local trail, but maybe that will make me run faster to get it over with. Tomorrow will be busy, Lynnleigh's birthday party (her birthday was Tuesday), will take place and I will also be trying to guzzle a bajillion gallons of water. 20 miler scheduled for Sunday! Wish me luck!!
