Is it Monday Again?

Wow, Wednesday. You really raised the bar on becoming the worst day of the week!

I got to sleep in late yesterday, Aaron was off and keeping Lynnleigh so I didn't have to take her to the sitter super early like normal. Usually she sleeps in when allowed, and did so until about 9. She is just like her Daddy when it concerns sleep- up late and in bed until late. I'd rather go to bed at 9 and wake up early ;)

I left the house, with enough time to stop for coffee and an English muffin, plus I really wanted a fruit and yogurt parfait, so McDonald's was the place to go. I know, fast food is bad for you, but I really wanted that parfait and I needed a HUGE coffee for today. An accurate depiction of what my ideal coffee cup size would be:

When it comes to coffee, you get the most bang-for-your-buck at McDonald's, and the coffee isn't terrible, either. (It is, by no means, anywhere close to the glorious liquid gold that is Dunkin Donuts

coffee, but it gets the job done.)

I made it to work and realized that I had completely forgotten to order the parfait. So I had a plain English muffin and a large black coffee. At least I had my coffee. BUT WAIT! My coffee cup was leaking through the seam. Thanks, McDonald's, thanks.

I needed to print off a project for some of my students... the printer was jammed. STORY. OF. MY. LIFE. Dear Printer,

I fixed the printer, printed the packets, tucked my tail between my legs and carried my leaking coffee back up to my classroom. I was ready to call it a day and it wasn't even 8am! This was my face when my students got to class... I was ready to pull my hair out!

Then I remembered that my inspection sticker was dead and that I was suppose to take the truck to work so that Aaron could get Hank inspected... I had also forgotten my lunch. Aaron messaged me saying he'd bring my lunch and take my car tomorrow... no biggie. He is an angel. He also brought me some liquid gold ;) He knew that my day wasn't going well.

Lunch was a repeat of dinner, and I am PERFECTLY fine with that! I am a creature of habit, so eating things over and over doesn't bother me at all. These were the best pork chops I've ever had! They were so juicy!

After lunch, Paula and I went out for our usual walk. It was so pretty outside! I am continuing my LuLaRoe streak. I bet I could wear at least one item of LuLaRoe clothing every day for a month without having to do laundry. I have that many pieces. It's the best. I will have a LuLaRoe giveaway for my readers very soon! Stay tuned for that!!!

We are in the final stretch of school now (only 10 days left after today, but who is counting? ;) ). We are all ready to get out of here and get our summer started! I am SO ready for lake days with this cutie!

She LOVES to kayak! And also loves the sand at the "beach" (it's actually a little sandy area near a local lake. She has never been to the beach- but that will change this year!!).

I didn't have enough time to get in my 5 miles after work. I needed to fix Aaron's bullet-proof vest, some of the sewing had come undone.

Good as new! After that, we headed to gymnastics. Where did my baby go?!

Another matching set from LaBoo ;) I love their baseball tees!!

Just doing some stretching...

And some ring work ;)

Lynnleigh's Yum Yum and Gramps (my parents) came to watch gymnastics. She begged to go to home with them, so we took the chance to run to Dick's to grab Aaron's new running shoes. He was super excited! (Remember, he's not really a lover of running ;) )

We got there and I immediately took him to the Brooks section ;) He decided on the Ghost 9s, which are my distance shoes! They are heavenly! We searched for his size but they didn't have them, at least not in the color he liked (he's a shoe diva). We ordered them online from Brooks' website, and they were on sale! $30 off! Go grab you a pair!!

We headed to my parents house to pick Lynnleigh up and go home so that Aaron could finish mowing and I could run. Once we got home, Aaron finished the yard and I played with Lynny for a few. Two of the eggs at her window hatched! (Two babies fell out of the nest, we believe, when they hatched and died :( Lynnleigh doesn't remember that there were 4, so she's not upset. She is, however, so excited about "her new babies"!!)

They are so little, and adorable! Lynnleigh talked to them about what her Daddy was doing (mowing) and Momma Bird was very, very close by making all kinds of racket, informing us that her babies were finished talking to us ;)

She is my favorite person :)

After Aaron was finished mowing, I started my run. I found a few treadmill workouts and combined them to get one that would hopefully end up being very close to 5 miles. It was pretty tough, but the miles FLEW by! If you have to run on a treadmill, I suggest finding workouts like the one I made. They make you focus on the changes you have to make for every interval, not how long you've been running :) I will share this workout tomorrow!

I wanted 5 miles at a 10:30 pace, I ended up with a 9:48 pace. I should have slowed it down a bit, but I really wanted to see how that workout would go! I will go slower today, I promise!

Aaron fixed dinner while I was on the treadmill, and it was ready when my run was over. I really hit the jackpot with this guy ;) We had tacos, however, we didn't know we didn't have all the necessary toppings... So we had the shells, meat, refried beans, and ripped up sliced American cheese... It was really yummy, but we both missed our usual toppings, for sure!

After dinner we played in the playroom, the MESSY playroom! We also shared some cotton candy, so yummy! Then it was bath time for the whole house so that we could get ready to hit the hay!

I got my membership letter and card for the local running club today! It's a part of the RRCA, the club I am attending a coaching certification class with. I was so excited to get it in the mail! I feel official now :)

What started out as a rather bad Wednesday turned out to be a pretty decent day! Let's hope that Thursday, however, starts out and stays better ;)

5 miles are on the agenda today! I will attempt to keep them at a 10-10:30 pace!

What is your favorite coffee?

What are your favorite summer activities?

How do you pass the time on the treadmill?
