Hey, y'all!!
Thursday I got distracted at work, forgot to blog, and I have no other excuse. #fail
Usually I tell you about the day before on my blog, so I'll have to catch you up on Wednesday AND Thursday ;)
Wednesday was our last day of school (can I get an "Amen!"???). After the kids left, I headed out and got 3 miles in. I was dreading it. It was hot and I was scared my back would hurt.

I wanted to keep them SLOW, since my back has been giving me issues. I literally felt ZERO pain during my run! All of those rest days must have helped!! I ended up with a 9:53 pace for 3 miles, which was much faster than I anticipated running! My parents, as well as Paula, were watching my run using LiveTrack, and I was told a few times to slow down ;) It felt great, and I was happy!

I stopped and got Dunkin Donuts after to celebrate ;) Also because it was HOT and I needed something cold.

I finished working and headed home for the day!
Gymnastics at 4:45 for the wild one ;)

We decided to go look at Hyundai Santa Fe Sports (we were trying to get a vehicle that would be better on gas- I love Hank, my Tahoe, but he's always hungry!). We looked at one, I loved it, but we just couldn't let the Tahoe go for what they were giving us, so we walked away. This was the fourth vehicle we had walked away from. We walked away from an Escape, RAV4, Outlander, and Santa Fe Sport. I really liked all of them, but not enough to trade the way the car dealerships were wanting.
She likes to make sure the seat belts work ;)

After we spent what felt like FOREVER at the car dealership, we decided to stop for dinner. We really need to get back to eating at home again. We are literally throwing money away by eating out all the time....
Thursday I woke up feeling pretty good. My back was just a little sore, but nothing like it had been. I met Paula before work to get my FINAL 2 MILES in before my marathon on Sunday! I wanted to keep them slow, and we completed them at a 10:35 pace! It felt good, but HOT. Cleveland has a heat advisory for the marathon, so that should be fun... Said no runner ever!

Thankful for my running BFF!

We went to work, and I basically goofed off (and forgot to blog) until it was time for lunch. We had our lunch catered by a local business. IT. WAS. AMAZING. They catered last year for us, too, and we all do nothing but rave about the food. Our principal told them to just go ahead and pencil us in for the last week of school every year ;) None of us argued with that!

After lunch we got some things done, Lynny and Aaron came by for a few, and then I finally headed to the house.
She likes my classroom.

I had talked with Aaron about how I really liked the RAV4s, and I was upset that the salesman we worked with really didn't act like he wanted to help us out any. Aaron suggested we look at a couple of other Toyota dealerships around. After calling around, we decided to go to the one that was about 40 minutes away. They had all of their RAVs for $2,000 LESS than surrounding competitors! We got there, and after what felt like days, we were headed home in our new car! I am beyond happy with it (granted, I have only had it for less than 24 hours, but still). I think it will be a great fit for our little family! Major Dane should fit quite snug in the back ;) Lynny was very excited and kept telling me the whole way home how she liked my new car!
One of the guys at the dealership was talking with me and somehow we started discussing motorcycles. I explained that Aaron has one, but I don't ride a whole lot because I don't have the right jacket... He left and a couple of minutes later came out with a women's motorcycle jacket and asked if it would fit me. I tried it on, and it fit great! I asked him how much he wanted for it, and he said, "Nothin', I brought it here for a guy's wife to try and she didn't want it. You keep it, and now you don't have an excuse not to ride with your husband!" I was floored!

We looked the jacket up on the internet while waiting for our new car to be detailed (they hadn't had a chance to- it still had plastic on it when I bought it, only 8 miles, it was super new). The jacket retails for around $200 and is nicer than anything I would have bought for myself! The man was so nice. He also took Lynny out to our new car and allowed her to push all the buttons. She was in heaven ;)
We came home, pretty late, got Lynny in and out of the bath, and had some time to play with her "house building stuff". She loves it! She took it with her to my parents today, and I bet her and my dad are having a blast playing with it ;)

Today will be resting and drinking all the water!! Marathon is two days away!!!
Do you like car shopping?
Do you ride motorcycles?
What is your method to ensuring you drink enough water before big races?
