Yesterday, I had my first track workout. Paula, my forever guinea pig and best friend, allowed me to yell at her, I mean coach her, through a few 400s ;)

Her original goal was a 5:00 marathon. Now we have changed it to a 4:28! She wants to beat Oprah's time. I know she can do it! She's about to put in a lot of work to get there, too ;)

The workout was originally developed to be 12x400s at a 2:23 pace. We changed it to 8x400s and she ended up running them at an average of 2:05 pace. Pretty great, if you ask me!! She worked hard and helped me work out a few kinks... Like understanding I need a whistle! Ha!

She also brought along her new puppy, Nala, who happens to be the sweetest pup ever! She made sure to keep her eye on her Momma, that's for sure!!

After we finished the workout, we went to Dunkin for a celebratory coffee! Liquid gold!!!

I went home and answered some emails (many of which were curious future clients!!!!). I recorded Paula's times for today for future references, something I want to do for all of my clients. I guess I better get to learning all I can about Excel!

I went to Walmart to kill some time and grab a printer. I got the printer and completely forgot to get paper. So it was useless. I did remember to wear my LaBoo rain jacket! It has been a LIFE SAVER lately! And it's super cute!

I went to pick Lynny up and we headed to gymnastics. She's doing better every time we go!

My mom came by and said she was going to Walmart so I went with her to grab some veggies for dinner and the paper I had forgotten the first time I went. I got the veggies and forgot the paper. #fail

Lynny was in her gymnastics outfit carrying an onion around like a hobo pack... She's a nut!

We got home and she helped me prep some veggies for dinner.

Dinner was veggie spaghetti for me. I don't even need noodles now, just zucchini and squash with some turkey spaghetti sauce... yum!

After dinner I answered MORE Red's Running emails (how lucky am I?!?!) and did a few other things before playing with Lynny and settling in for the night. It was a great day, that's for sure!

Tomorrow will be yet another rest day for me. I promised myself I wouldn't run until a week had passed after my marathon. I already have a run scheduled for Sunday! I am chomping at the bit, even though I know I need this rest!

What is your favorite track workout?

Have you entered the LaBoo contest yet?

Do you have a substitute for noodles?
