Monday Madness and More Goals

Hello Monday! You're not so bad in the summer ;)
The in-laws wanted to keep Lynny last night, so I am baby-free this morning. It sounds like heaven to some parents, but I'm ready for her to be back now. I miss her!
I'm going to take advantage of the extra alone time this morning to work on some stuff for my clients! I am LOVING making these plans and tailoring them to each of my clients specifically!! I should have started this a LONG time ago!
Yesterday started out with a trip to church. Lynnleigh LOVES her Sunday school class, which means she loves when it's time to go to church- which also means zero fighting her to leave her toys and get in the car ;)
When did she grow up on me?!?!?!

We made a trip by Dunkin Donuts after church. I've been trying to watch my sugar intake/what I eat, so I've been getting my coffee without any flavor... just two creams!! Regardless, coffee is coffee and Dunkin is still liquid gold!

We got home from church and started lunch. I had a really great helper, her stirring game is strong ;)

Then I did a little work- it doesn't even feel like working! I had promised a plan would be delivered today, and I got it done in the nick of time!

Lynny helped her Daddy do some yard work. I HATE the rocks in my flower beds. After nearly a year and a half of living in our new home, we are fixing this. Slow and steady!!!

We took Lynny to Aaron's parent's house and then AARON WENT ON A RUN WITH ME! I promised myself that I would rest until yesterday, and I did! We ran 3 miles. I told Aaron we would stick between a 10:30-11:30 pace... 29:00 later I finished with a 9:40 average... OOPS! I sprinted the last little bit, maybe a quarter of a mile... Aaron wasn't about it, so he kept his pace. He finished about 32 seconds after me. Considering he doesn't run, he killed it. Maybe he'll let me coach him one day?!?! ;) He doesn't like running, but he loves me and does it anyways. Jackpot, ladies... I hit the jackpot!

My Garmin WOULD NOT get a GPS signal... so I had to add my workout manually using Aaron's watch info. BOO GARMIN. I never have an issue with this, so I will forgive my watch this time. I did drop it last week, maybe it's payback for that?
We hit up the grocery store and headed home to fix dinner. Aaron grilled steak for us and we fixed potatoes in the InstantPot (Aaron LOVES that thing). I sautéed some zucchini and onion, too. It was a great dinner! It was, however, not ready until after 9. Oops.
It also ended with a serving of this! It is SO GOOD!!!!

I want to talk about my new goals now that I have finished my second marathon. I told myself, and everyone around me, that I would run the Cleveland Marathon and be finished with fulls. I said I would stick to half marathons, the training is less and so is the stress. However...... now that I am a week out from Cleveland, I want to do another (You were right, Momma!). I do not think it will be this year, most likely early next year. I don't have my eye on a specific marathon (other than the Marine Corps Marathon- too late for that this year), I just know I want to do another.
I would like to take some time to get a 5K somewhere in the 23:00 range. My PR is 24:39, so I'd have to take about 40 seconds off my time. It doesn't sound like much, but it is to me! Hopefully my track workouts will help me!
For the rest of this year, I'll be completing the Beast Series. It's a local series that has you complete 5 half marathons in an 8 month span. The first one was my first sub-two half! The next one is on June 10th. I don't anticipate getting a sub-two there, it is EXTREMEMLY hilly, but I would like at least one more sub-two, maybe even a sub-1:57 so I can get a new PR! We'll see how training this summer goes, including getting my nutrition in a better place ;)
Goals are important. I'll be adding more as the year goes on, but for now, finishing the Beast Series well is my goal!
I am going to get a few things finished with Red's Running and then get a few chores and errands finished! Maybe even get a little 2 miler in! I don't want to do too much, I plan on doing a track workout for myself after I finish one for my client in the morning!
An accurate depiction of what I will probably look like in the morning...
You all have a wonderful Memorial Monday! Remember, freedom isn't free! Thanks to all those who have served or are currently serving in our armed forces! You make the ultimate sacrifices for us and make it possible to chase those goals we set for ourselves!
What do you do when you are kid-free?
What changes are you wanting to make to your living space during the summer?
What goals do you have for the rest of 2017?
