We made it!!!

Today has already been a pretty great day, but let's recap yesterday!

Lynny went to the sitter and I had a dress fitting... for the wedding in 8 days... like I said concerning the shoes, I'm apparently procrastinating big time for this wedding. Luckily the bride is awesome and knows I'll get things done, so she doesn't pressure me ;) She may be a little nervous, but she doesn't show it!

After I was fitted, I came home and fixed my lunch. YUM. I LOVE pork chops.

I then went to get my hair cut. Again. Mainly for color because my grays were AWFUL! I cannot stand my gray hair! It makes me feel 90!

I lost my cartilage earring and PANICKED. I thought it had fallen where the hair I had cut off was and then tossed in the trash when my hairdresser swept. I dug in the trash. In other people's' hair... barf.

The next customer saw it on the floor in front of the chair and I was SO happy it was found! Even though I dug in the trash for no reason...

I headed home and Aaron and I picked Lynny up. She was happy to see us!

She also got a postcard from Paula (who is out of town) and was so EXCITED!

We headed out to do a few things. She was pretty happy for the night. We also made cookies for Daddy and his coworkers.

We turned in early and watched MOANA!! I'm so glad it's on Netflix!!! Lynny isn't too excited about it, but it's growing on her.

Let's talk about finding time to run when you have a family! Finding time is hard. Here are a few things I do to fit in my running.

1. Stroller

Invest in a running stroller. A good one! It needs to be light, but most importantly, it needs to be comfortable for your child. I have an older Baby Jogger and Lynny can usually run with me for about 4 miles when she is in it. I've done 7 with her once, she wasn't feeling it after 5. She wanted out. Regardless, even if you have a longer run planned for the day and plans fall through, 4 miles is better than 0! This leads me to my next point...

2. Be flexible

Don't be stuck on running in a certain place at a certain time. Things happen, especially with a kid, and plans change. Be flexible enough to realize this, and be ok with it!

3. Tablet

Lynny has a tablet with preloaded movies and games. It may be an out, but it works. She only gets her tablet in the car and on runs. That's it. I'm not ashamed.

4. Wake up early

Get up early before your kids do and hit the treadmill. I have one in my garage and I use it, especially during the school year, to get runs in when my family is sleeping.

5. Stay up late

Sometimes I get my run in after Lynny has gone to bed. This is rare, as she usually stays up later than me, but it happens ;)

6. Find people you trust

These people are the ones you can leave your kids with to go for a quick run. Choose people who are supportive of your running... you don't need even more guilt piled on top of the guilt you already feel for leaving your kids behind for a few. Trust me.

I hope these help you!

Don't forget to enter the contest! It ends tomorrow at 2pm!!!

Were/are you a bridezilla? I'm pretty sure I was ;)

Have you ever lost something REALLY important to you??

What are your tips for fitting in running with a family?
