Happy Friday Eve! I can't believe this week went by so fast!!!
Today was spent finishing Lynny's new playset. I'll give all the details on that tomorrow ;)
Yesterday started with gymnastics as most Wednesdays do! She tumbled right behind the pole in this pic... Apparently I didn't notice. You can play "Where's Lynny" while you're reading this post ;) You're welcome for the entertainment.

We took her to the park to play and to eat and then she crashed! If you ever see Lynnleigh grabbing that ear, or feel her grabbing yours, she is ready to get some shut-eye!

Aaron and my Dad worked on Lynny's playset and got the majority finished! Lynny was a great helper ;)

Major and I supervised... He is the definition of a "Velcro dog" ;)

When Lynny woke up, we played with play-doh...

She asked to go get pizza and she made sure to steal her Daddy's lemon ;) She's definitely mine!

We went to get ice cream after- we Hagys sure love ice cream!

I took the day off from running because I knew I had a long run today! I'll recap that tomorrow! Rest days are the best...
Today I wanted to define something for all the non-runners out there (or those runners that are newbies or simply may never have heard of this): Negative Splits.
I had someone ask me what these were, I refer to them often in the blog, but I have never really explained them. If you have been left in the dark, I am sorry! I'll get you all cleared up ;)
Negative splits basically describe a run where each mile is faster than the last. MOST races are won using this method. It all deals with pacing yourself so that you have the energy and stamina to finish your run, or race, strong! I like each run to end with my fastest mile, but I REALLY like when I have all negative splits. Some days it happens, some it doesn't.
I hope that clears up any confusion you may have had! Please email me if I babble on about something that you don't understand! Sometimes I forget how it feels to be new to the sport of running. I wish people had explained some things to me earlier on so that I knew what I was doing!
I hope you all have had a great week so far, and I hope your weekend is packed full of fun!! Catch ya tomorrow!
Do you have a "Velcro dog?"
Do you hope for negative splits?
Do you have any "newbie" questions?? ASK, PLEASE!!!
