Weekend Recap!

Wow. This weekend was CRAZY. Let's see how my attempt to recap it goes ;) Back to Thursday!!

Thursday started off at 7:30 with a long run. I planned on 8-10 miles and ended up with 9.25. I'll take it! Paula ran the first 5ish with me and I finished the rest solo. Aaron picked me up so that my last few miles were downhill ;)

We saw a family of ducks on the run...

We fixed lunch and started on Lynnleigh's play set. It was SO CLOSE to being finished. She went to the sitter so that we could surprise her once it was finished!

The dogs were great helpers...

She was SO excited!!!

I got burnt. Of course.

Our night ended on the play set, which I assumed would happen ;) Those feet were so dirty... the picture doesn't show it, but trust me, they were almost black on the bottom...

Aaron had to work Friday so it was just me and the monster. We made a quick trip to Walmart... I really wanted her to get a Moana toy (it looked SO FUN), but she chose this kitty instead. His name is Kitty.

We played some more on the play set...

It was mine and Aaron's 5 year anniversary! I can't believe it has been five years!!

He spent the day at work and was suppose to meet me at my friend's rehearsal dinner at 7... He was late. Again. He got there a little before 8. I was staying the night with the bridesmaids at a local bed and breakfast, so Aaron insisted he take me to get a coffee to apologize. Who am I to turn down a cup of liquid gold? ;)

After coffee it was back to the bed and breakfast to meet up with the girls. We got some ADORABLE gifts from the bride, and then it was off to bed. The wedding was at 10:00 Saturday morning, so we had to be up early for hair and makeup! Paula and I shared a room. The bed was HUGE, and we stayed up WAY too late watching the ID channel. All of the episodes were about pastors who had went off the deep end. We couldn't turn it off! Ha!

We woke up early Saturday morning and finished a few things for the wedding and headed off some issues. the morning went beautifully, only the bride was very nauseous. She stuck to the oyster crackers and ginger ale all morning. She makes being nauseous look beautiful!

After the first wedding, we jumped in the car and drove 3.5 hours to the NEXT wedding. Aaron's cousin got married at 4:15 that afternoon, and we pulled in to the parking lot of the venue at 3:54. The wedding was originally scheduled for 4:00, but was moved back. Thank goodness!!

After the wedding, we drove back a few miles and stayed at a hotel Aaron's parents booked for us. Lynny played in the pool for a few.

She hitched a ride on her Pepaw...

She originally wanted to stay in Memaw and Pepaw's room, however, she decided right before bed she wanted to be with her Momma and Daddy. I didn't argue- I love my little snuggle buddy!

Yesterday morning we woke up and had breakfast at a cute little diner. Lynny and Pepaw played his favorite arcade game.

Then we were off to the safari park!! I was a little more excited than Aaron ;)

I wore my LaBoo!

Lynny was as excited as Momma!

We saw all kinds of animals!

INCLUDING PENGUINS!!

We took some fun pictures around the park while we looked at animals.

She had a deep conversation with a bird.

I found a shirt I need. NOW. *Cough* Paula- invoice Aaron ;) *Cough*

There was a baby goat that was born 30 minutes before we got there! SOOO cute!

We went on a wagon ride through the park and were given buckets of food to feed the animal. I left my phone up for this- the animals were a little pushy and I didn't want them to eat it ;)

It was a HOT visit, but so fun! I am so thankful to have in-laws that take us places like this! We are blessed with GREAT family!! Lynny stayed awake for about half the ride home, which was longer than I did ;)

We came home to some cute PJs on the door for Lynny! She was so excited!

Like I said, this weekend was PACKED! Running didn't happen, but the family time I had was worth the break!! Today we slowed down, but only a little! I hope you all have had a great start to your week! Thank you for continuing to check back in with me, I appreciate all of you!!
