Saturday Shenanigans

Hey, Mom!!

Yesterday was bittersweet. I love Saturdays but Monday is looming over my head like a dark cloud.

I don’t want to go back to work. Knowing Reid is my last baby makes it hard. I’d love to stay at home until she went to kindergarten but I married a cop. Despite the thought that they get paid a lot to get shot at, they get paid nothing. Public Service rocks ;)

Saturday morning started out with a run! Paula needed to get in 10 miles, I agreed to join her for four of those. Ain’t no way I could have handled 10 ;)

I asked Alexa what the temperature was before I picked out my clothes. She said 50 degrees. I dressed for 50 degrees, which is an amazing temperature for running, FYI.

I said my goodbyes and headed out the door. It. Was. Pouring. Alexa never mentioned rain! Fail! I should have asked what the weather was like, not just the temperature, according to the husband.

We ran our four miles in the pouring rain and I was so excited to see the four miles on my Garmin screen! I haven’t ran more than 3 miles since Reid was born, and only one of those runs were 3 miles, the rest hover around two. I felt great other than a little soreness from the hill sprints on Friday.

I came home and we loaded up the truck to go to the dump. By we, I mean Aaron. I only go because I get Dunkin.

FYI, Girl Scout flavors are back. Go get this coffee. You can thank me later.

We went by Aaron’s parent’s house to let Aaron help his dad with something and the girls and I hung out with my mother-in-law. My in-laws are the best. I really got lucky in that department!

Lynnleigh wanted to stay to play so Aaron, Reid, and I came on home. When I went to walk up the stairs to my front door, I could barely move. So. Sore.

Guess what that means?! YUP! Rest Day today! ;)

-Mine is a 50k!

Do you prefer Dunkin or Starbucks?

-I usually prefer Dunkin. However, right now starbucks has a creme brûlée latter that is AH-mazing!
