Today is alllll about my goals. I figure I need to get them out into the open so that you 10 loyal followers can keep me accountable! ;)
First, let's talk about yesterday...
Wake up, work, run, home.
That's my day pretty much every day ;) I'm not mad at it. Other than the work portion.
I used the 80/20 book and did the Foundation Run 1 again. I'll be doing it a lot come March because I can only fit 20 minutes of running in on Mondays starting then. Maybe I'll get to where I can run 1.5-2 miles in that time. We will have to see.
I was super frustrated with it. I think my heart rate zones are off. I'm going to adjust them a little so that it doesn't make me walk so much. I was running so slowly I shortened my stride and I know that isn't what is suppose to be going on... So I'm going to see if my adjustments help me on Saturday when I run again.

Lynnleigh went with Aaron to the gym so I made a stop to get some things I needed at Walmart on the way to get Reid.
This was recommended to me to help keep Lynnleigh from getting lice...

I got Lynny a mini wand on clearance for $2! I also got myself one......

More of these because I can never have too many...

Reid threw up all over herself and her car seat so she went straight in the bath when we got home and splashed around while I scrubbed her seat (right beside her, don't be calling CPS on me now...)
She sure is cute, even if she does projectile vomit a lot....

Lynnleigh and Aaron got home, I worked on our taxes for a bit then started dinner. Brinner, Breakfast for dinner. We love it.
Reid fell asleep during dinner so I decided to take a minute to go through my closet some more before she woke up...

I basically got rid of half of my clothes...

Before....

AFTER!

It. Felt. Amazing.
I'm hoping to get rid of even more this weekend. I have two, yes two, dressers full of clothes. I would like to get it to where I only use one or one and a half and give Aaron some drawers. Not holding my breath on that, though. My devotional made a really good point this morning...

I got everything ready for today and then settled in for the night. Having everything ready to go in the morning makes my mornings so. much. easier.
So about my Year Goals...
I have set tons goals for myself in the past. However, I don't always meet them. Not meeting them isn't such a bad thing. Failing is ok. Trying again is what is important. I think it's good for my girls to see me set and fail at meeting a goal. They need to know that not everything will go their way, and that is ok!
I usually set really big goals and then just go for it. This year, I set big goals and then I also decided to set small goals each month that will ultimately help me reach those big goals! I'm telling you... I love me some planning ;)
I set my yearly big goals, you can read about them here if you missed it. SO, to meet those goals, I set 3 little goals per category for January. My planner has a great little goal section for each month.

For my January run goal, I chose to attempt to run 30 miles. My yearly goal is 500. Obviously that's not enough each month to meet that goal, 30x12= 360, less than 500. HOWEVER, since I'm still coming back to running, I know many of the months ahead will have more than the minimum I need, 500/12= 42ish. So I set a little goal that I can meet! It is January 16th and I have ran 24.1 miles so far. The 30 will happen, as long as I don't get injured...
Next month I will increase it. I just want to hit those small goals and give myself a pat on the back instead of waiting until December to hopefully get to say I met a goal.
Since one part of my big goals is to read two devotionals in 2020, this month my goal was to find one. Check! I bought Ammo + Grace: The Devotional by Cote Anne. She is a police wife and the devotional deals with a lot of issues leo families face that others sometimes don't understand. So far I am loving it! I try to read it in the mornings before work and before the kids are up. Some days that happens, some days that doesn't... My girls don't really care that I have a devotional I want to read ;)
Another goal I have for myself is to be more intentional with my time with my family. I have started putting my phone up from 7:30-8:30 to really try to spend some time with my girls. I have done well with not playing on my phone, but I have noticed I use the time to do some chores. So I need to work on REALLY stepping away from the every day to dos and be present with them. I feel better about it than I did at the beginning of January, but I know I can improve!
So there are my January goals that will help me hit those big goals I set for myself this year! They're all out in the open!
I hope you all have a wonderful Friday Eve ;) Stay tuned for another Food Friday tomorrow!!
